Green CPR — Fazenda Recanto da Buá
Project Identification
Fazenda Recanto da Buá, located in São Francisco de Assis (RS), within the Pampa biome.
Total Area
298.84 hectares, with 59.77 ha of preserved area.
Environmental Asset
Green CPR (CPR Verde) linked to the conservation and sustainable management of native vegetation, in accordance with Decree No. 10.828/2021.
Technical Aspects
Pampa biome with steppe-type vegetation; Red Latosol and Red Argisol soils; proximity to significant water resources (Ibicuí, Jaguari, and Inhacundá rivers); NDVI indicating moderately healthy vegetation; and remote monitoring methodology (CO₂Flux, NDVI, MRV).
Ecological Potential
28.79 tons of CO₂e emissions avoided through the preservation of native vegetation under risk of suppression.
Preserving the Pampa is investing in the future.

Using remote monitoring technologies (CO₂Flux, NDVI, and MRV), the project ensures traceability and transparency in tracking vegetation health and carbon dynamics, providing verifiable data on environmental performance.
The Green CPR of Fazenda Recanto da Buá represents the new frontier of rural production in Brazil: a landscape that generates value without destruction — conserving ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and creating environmental wealth.

The Pampa biome, where the project is located, is one of the most threatened ecosystems in Brazil. It harbors a rich mosaic of grasslands, shrubs, and forests that sustain a wide diversity of native fauna and flora, many of them endemic and increasingly at risk due to land conversion and overgrazing. Protecting these natural areas helps maintain vital ecological corridors and supports species essential to the biome’s balance.

Located in São Francisco de Assis (RS) — the 12th municipality with the highest deforestation rates in Rio Grande do Sul —, Fazenda Recanto da Buá stands as an inspiring counterpoint to environmental degradation in the Pampa biome.
Covering 298.84 hectares, of which 59.77 hectares are preserved native vegetation, the project issues a Green CPR (CPR Verde) linked to the conservation and sustainable management of native vegetation, in accordance with Decree No. 10.828/2021.
